The traditional face lifts entail the most dissection, but still result in the most dramatic and long lasting improvement.
The feather lift is done through shorter incisions and entails very little dissection. The lift is accomplished by passing threads under the skin and pulling the muscles back. Both can help with jowls and the neck.
The midface lift is done through incisions inside the mouth and up in the hairline; it entails dissecting a plane between the two incisions and suspending the midface tissues upward with strong “cable” sutures.
