Preoperative Instructions

You may visit your practitioner as many times as you wish to have all of your questions answered. All patients anticipating an elective surgical procedure are to stop taking any medication containing anti-inflammatory agents (Aspirin®, Advil®, Motrin®, etc.) as these interfere with the body’s clotting mechanism and can result in bruising and blood loss.

You may wish to purchase a compression garment for the treatment area and can bring it with you to your treatment.  These garments keep the treatment areas compressed and reduce discomfort.  In addition, you may wear comfortable clothes that allow access to the treatment area, or we will provide you with a gown at the visit.  On the day of your treatment, please do not apply anything topical to the treatment area (lotions, self-tanner, etc.).
