Rancho Santa Margarita, the home of Orange County Plastic Surgery, was planned to be an “Urban Village,” offering all of the elements and advantages of a small city plus the quality of life of a village. Before you head home, you may wish to explore this area during your initial healing phase – or your companion may wish to head to the golf links or other local attraction while you are recovering!
The City of Rancho Santa Margarita is located in the shadows of the Santa Ana Mountains, in the heart of South Orange County. The City population is approaching 50,000. Rancho Santa Margarita is located adjacent to the exclusive Coto de Caza and Dove Canyon Country Club communities and a short drive from the Pacific coast communities of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point. The numerous shops of Balboa Island (www.balboaisland.com) are a short ferry ride from Newport Beach. Numerous golf courses can be found in the area, including the world famous Pelican Hill (949-760-0707) and Torrey Pines (800-985-4653) Golf Clubs. Rancho Santa Margarita is south of Disneyland (www.disneyland.com), and approximately half way between San Diego and Los Angeles. You can also visit nearby Knott’s Berry Farm (www.knotts.com), America’s first themed amusement park, where you will find 150 acres of thrilling rides and attractions. At Sea World in San Diego, (www.seaworld.com/seaworld/ca/), you can enjoy numerous rides, shows and animal attractions; you can even come face-to-face with sharks of all sizes in the new Shark Encounter exhibit! Other nearby points of interest include the San Juan Capistrano Mission, the Nixon Library, Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
World class shopping is available near by. The Fashion Island complex, a beautiful open mall in Newport Beach, sports not only the biggest names in fashion, but you can also dine at Wolfgang Puck’s, PF Changs, California Pizza Grill and others. You can shop at Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Macys, Robinsons May, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, or visit one of the movie theaters, and more.
Even closer, the Shops at Mission Viejo are anchored by Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's and Robinsons-May.
